Booking your Boudoir Shoot

A boudoir shoot is all about the experience and your Fancy Little Knickers shoot is dedicated to providing  the best experience for you.

While we like to push you a little out of your comfort zone, it is important that you start in that comfort zone.  We either meet in person or with a Skype call to discuss how you want your boudoir shoot to unfold. What do you want to achieve in your shoot.

While many boudoir shoots are aimed at giving some intimate and revealing photographs to a loved one, perhaps just before getting married or on an anniversary, our shoots are aimed at those who just want some images for themselves.

Of course, you can choose who to give your images to, but this is an experience for you. No one else, just you.

Where

Our preferred location is a hotel rather than a studio. We want our shoot with you to embody a story, which is usually best told in a real environment. What sort of story do you want to tell? The answer to that question will determine the type of hotel. Luxurious and glamourous, perhaps with a four poster bed? Or maybe rough and ready? Champagne or bourbon?

Or of course, it could be much more healthy, yoga and cucumber shakes.

Our team

We will usually provide a photographer and a stylist. They will work with you to define the style of the shoot that you want, discussing poses and lighting, make up and hair. It is usually a male and female team.

The Images

Our photographic style is to be as natural as possible. We will not “photoshop” out any lumps and bumps, and limit retouching to producing aesthetically pleasing shots of you. We want you to be proud of the real you, even a touch defiant. This shoot is for you, not for anyone else.

We will go through with you how you want your finished images to be presented: framed or in a photobook, on paper, canvas, or some other material (metal, perhaps?)

Lingerie

We can provide lingerie, sports wear, night wear. This is a special occasion, so we recommend new clothing and make up, but again it is your shoot, and you decide.

We advise on several different outfits to provide variety and interest. Of course you are not limited to lingerie, you can shoot in anything you want. Do you need a headshot, a formal portrait as well? We are completely at your disposal.
